Long Life 3 mm Pulse Magnetron

A 3-mm magnetron with over than 6000 hour life was developed. The magnetron includes a platinum secondary-emission cathode, osmium starting thermionic cathode and operates the space harmonic mode. A miniature ion pump, being part of the device, provides high vacuum that also helps achieve high longevity.
