Data acquisition and signal processing system for SAR airborne radars

The system is based on a DSP developer kit produced by SET Ltd company, which contains Xilinx's FPGA of Virtex1000E type, DSP TI320C6202, PCI interface, and a double-channel analog-to-digital converter. The system performs the following functions:

  • Clock transmitter and receiver units,
  • Forms time series for providing binary phase coding for pulse compression,
  • Analog-to-digital conversion of received signals,
  • Digital pulse compression,
  • Provide an altimeter mode,
  • FFT with 1024 points,
  • FIR filtration up to 1024 points with individual figures for each gate,
  • Synthesize aperture with taking into account flight parameters and antenna position with matrix dimension of up to 1024.256 points and reference function length of up to 255 points.
