Ku-band Radome Integrated Slotted Waveguide Antenna with Inclined Beam

The antenna is similar to another Ku-band antenna developed in Microwave Electonics Department. It is high-efficient, compact-size slotted waveguide antenna with circular aperture designed for operation in Ku-band. The beam of this antenna is essentially inclined with respect to the antenna surface normal what has enabled to reduce dramatically the antenna radar visibility from the target direction. The antenna is also equipped with a low-profile waveguide comparator and provides monopulse operation in the azimuth-plane.

The antenna is equipped with radome integrated into the antenna structure according to the techonolgy developed in Microwave Electronics Department. Radiating slots are cut in the foil of a foiled dielectric material, which services as a waveguide wall. The appearence of the radome panel is shown in Fig.2. The radome is significantly improves environmental protection of the antenna. It is compact size and low-weight.
