X-band Fan-Beam Slotted Waveguide Antenna

This antenna has been designed for the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) application. It radiates fan-like radiation pattern with specified beamwidth in principal planes in order to achieve optimal parameters for SAR resolution. The feature of this antenna is the combination of slotted waveguide and the E-plane horn. The antenna has been also optimized for low sidelobes. X-band SWA Fig. 1. X-band slotted waveguide antenna

Another modification of X-band slotted-waveguide fed horn antenna is available. It has a twice narrower beamwidth in H-plane. Appearance of the antenna is shown in Fig.2. The antenna can be equipped with the radome that provides slots protection from the environment (see Fig.3). Output connectors as WR-90 waveguide or SMA caxial connector are optionally available for this antenna.
